Let's Talk Vegetables: Celery/Celeriac & Epazote (Online & In-Person)

Celery was on nearly every American menu in the first half of the 20th century! Related to parsley, celery has been appreciated since antiquity, but, unfortunately, is underrated these days. We’ll explore some of the many ways to eat this delicious vegetable. In addition, we’ll learn about celeriac (also known as celery root) which offers alternative ways to enjoy the taste of celery.
We’ll also continue our exploration of locally available herbs, with the Mexican herb - epazote. Epazote may revolutionize your bean dishes – join us to find out why and how!
As always, Let's Talk Vegetables (LTV) will start with some information about GrowNYC, our Greenmarket farmers markets, and what is currently in season. We will then focus on this month’s featured vegetables including historical information, nutritional information, and trivia.
