REPORT FRAUD to the FTC!
You must inform the FTC about any scams that have happened to you (whether the scammer succeeds or not!).
Your report is shared with more than 2,800 law enforcers.
The FTC can't resolve your individual report, but they use reports to investigate and bring cases against fraud, scams, and bad business practices.
