Our social advocacy committee focuses on improving the lives of older adults in New York. The Social Advocacy Committee at RSS identifies issues, works with other community groups and politicians, and mobilizes the members of RSS to take action!

The Social Action Committee focuses on such important topics as:

• City Issues - Support of Centers across the city including funding
• Support for older adults - Access-A-Ride, and other accessibility issues
• Community Safety - such as traffic lights and noise
• Federal Issues - such as Medicare/Medicaid, SNAP support
• Senior Housing issues
