Getting fresh food on the table has been difficult for a lot of people even in the best of times, the pandemic has made it dire. People who don’t usually have trouble putting food on the table are lining up around the block and waiting for hours for food pantries to open. The numbers of people in need of healthy food has increased since Covid hit but the problem has always here in the northwest Bronx, unseen, just below the surface.
