Maple pan roasted chickpeas

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpeas (14oz) 
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

 

Directions:

  1.  Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chickpeas are lightly browned and crispy.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the onion powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Once the chickpeas are done, turn off the heat and add the spice mixture to the skillet. Toss the chickpeas with the spices until they are well coated.
  5. Taste the chickpeas and adjust seasoning if needed. 
  6. Transfer the chickpeas to a serving dish and enjoy!
