Osteoarthritis: How to Take Back Control and Relieve Symptoms (HYBRID)
REGISTER if you will be attending Online: https://rssny.org/class-forms/health-talks.html
Learn about what OA (osteoarthritis) is, how it’s different than RA (Rhuematoid arthritis), and how it affects the joints and daily life skills such as fine motor tasks (such as buttoning).
We will look at ways to cope with the pain, how to balance rest versus activity, and protect the small finger joints (I.e. by using the stronger larger muscles of the body).
We will also review and demonstrate ways to maintain strength and range of motion and discuss energy conservation (reducing effort needed to do a task).
