Join the Medicare Rights Center for a presentation on accessing Mental Health services through Medicare. This program will be led by CHAMP counsellors (Community Health Access to Addiction and Mental Healthcare Project). CHAMP is the New York State health insurance ombudsman program for mental health care and substance use disorder. CHAMP educates and assists New Yorkers in accessing treatment and insurance coverage for mental health treatment and substance use disorder, regardless of income or insurance status. CHAMP is a joint program of the NYS Office of Addiction Supports and Services (OASAS) and Office of Mental Health (OMH) in partnership with the Community Service Society of New York, Legal Action Center, New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, and Medicare Rights Center, as well as nine community-based organizations throughout the state of New York.
