The Life Journey Workshop: Meditation with Sarah
This Week's Meeting:
For this session, Sarah will lead three guided meditations and in between each meditation, everyone will have the opportunity to journal and reflect. The medications will ask the members to focus on their breathing and feelings in their body and mind. For example, one mediation asks the members to think about their "inner child" and picture themselves interacting with their childhood self and walking around their childhood home.
In what will likely be an eventful year, The "Life is a Journey workshop" is designed to bring us together to start the new year in a fun and uplifting way.
The workshop embodies the habit-forming and thought-provoking art of heart connection and imagination. We will also practice mindfulness and meditation exercises to calm the mind and body, and to create moments of peace in these challenging times.
Michelle and Sarah, social work interns from Columbia University, will facilitate the workshop. Through this workshop, we hope to show that we can find meaning in our activities, however small or big they may be.
