We honor grassroots organizations that identify community needs, create innovative solutions, and foster collaboration to improve residents' lives. The honorees are:

  • Art for Aid
  • Marble Hill Pantry at St. Stephens
  • The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition

September is Older Adult Center Month!

Celebrated every September, National Senior Center Month spotlights senior centers and shows the entire nation how vital they are to a community's health and well-being. Older adult centers provide countless hours of support and encouragement to older adults and have become integral to healthcare delivery in our communities by providing COVID-19 guidance, vaccine education, and vaccinations to their participants. They offer a place for older adults to discover their unique interests, talents, and aspirations. 

This year’s National Senior Center Month theme is “Powering Connections." We honor our Center participants, collaborative partners in the community, funders, and governance.
