Exploring Indigenous Cultural Themes with artist Dennis Darkeem (In Center)
On November 19, celebrate Indigenous culture and heritage with Bronx artist Dennis RedMoon Darkeem, of Black and Indigenous Yamassee-Seminole descent, in a unique art-making workshop. This event will guide participants through a hands-on journey into cultural traditions, language, and preservation using mixed media techniques like collage, painting, and drawing. Dennis will lead the group in creating collaborative art pieces that reflect each individual’s connection to their heritage and community.
