Fall Prevention Day will be hosted by two Columbia University Occupational Therapy students. The day will consist of a short presentation about fall prevention, fall risk factors, and the role of Occupational Therapists in preventing falls. Following the presentation, the participants will be encouraged to complete a self-assessment survey regarding their personal and environmental fall risk factors. Participants with higher risks of falling will have the opportunity to be assessed by the students who will be using standardized fall prevention assessments.
