RSS needs your support in order to continue our robust schedule of programs and events and expand our support services! Join us for an exciting online fundraising event that starts with an art history lecture given by Sylvia Meo on Gustav Klimt followed by a painting lesson on a Klimt-style portrait with April Lombardi, limited to 24 participants and suitable for all levels of experience.

In the art history lecture, you will learn about Klimt's life and see famous works by Gustav Klimt. In the art lesson, you will be guided in creating a Klimt-style portrait full of color and pattern in watercolor with pencil or pen details. Please have a 5 x 7 photograph and photocopy, if possible, of the person you want as the subject of your Klimt-style portrait painting.

As a thank-you-from-the-bottom-of-our-hearts gift from RSS you will be sent an all-inclusive watercolor paint set to use in the art lessons. The kit (valued at approximately $35) includes a beautiful set of pan watercolors with metallic paint, brushes, and paper.

Many of you have already enjoyed the marvelous art history lectures by Sylvia Meo, a museum educator, and historian who does lectures all over the world. And you may know April Lombardi and have already experienced her fun, free, online art classes sponsored weekly by RSS.
