Join Us for a special tour by the Tenement Museum.

Explore how immigrant women fed their families during the 19th and 20th centuries. This virtual visit to our historic tenement buildings at 97 and 103 Orchard Street will examine the daily work involved in cooking food, using rarely displayed artifacts from the Museum’s expansive collection, alongside primary sources, photographs, and oral history. Through different families and time periods, you’ll see how food was prepared in tenement kitchens, where people shopped, and how women made decisions about what to cook.

You may attend online. There is limited seating also at the Center to view this virtual program. There will be a Q&A section as well.

There are limited tickets for this event so please register as soon as you can.
