Genealogy research involves thinking like a detective – it’s all about knowing where to look, how to look, and how to interpret what you find. In this presentation, an experienced genealogy librarian at the Center for Jewish History will show you how you can get started researching your family history online and how the New York Public Library and other local institutions can assist you in your search. In addition, they’ll answer your questions and do a live demonstration of an online search. People of all backgrounds, non-Jewish and Jewish, are welcome and will find this helpful presentation.
