  well as installation art. In our talk we will have a closer look at Latin
 o artists in the US\, like Cecilia Vicuna\, Ana Mendieta\, Jean Michel Bas
 quiat\, Felix Gonzalez Torres\, Damien Ortega\, Ivan Navarro\, Alfredo Jaa
 r\, Vic Muniz and Firelei Baez. Their work helps us remember old tradition
 s and beliefs\, reconsider perspectives on history\, understand experience
 s of injustice and loss and celebrate pan american community.\n\n
